Gapwork Summer Holiday Jobs Tips: Online Application Forms

When applying for a Summer Holiday Job most large organisations will ask you to fill out an application form and in today's internet driven recruitment market more and more forms can be found online. It is therefore even more important to discipline yourself to take your time and be careful when completing them! Online forms are the biggest pitfalls we have come across for students applying for jobs. We are all so used to filling out our details on the internet that autopilot can take over and mistakes can be made - which could mean your application is stopped before it even began. It is vital to remember that you are applying for a job. Check the form carefully at each stage (most forms may be split into pages with a "next" button for the next page) looking for spelling mistakes and use of full stops and only press the "next" or "submit" button when you are happy.
