New Ski Instructor Courses for 2010

6th of August 2009

International Academy have introduced courses at 2 new resorts in Canada for their 2010 programme

International Academy, a leading ski and snowboard instructor course company, have introduced two new courses and ski resorts in Canada.  The two new resorts that gap year students, career breakers and travellers can opt to take an instructor course are Castle Mountain, a remote and undiscovered paradise located South West of Calgary; and Sun Peaks, located in British Columbia and, as it's name suggests, famed for the best weather for skiing.

The Castle Mountain resort is renowned for its incredible fall line skiing and high volume of fine, quality powder snow. Castle Mountain is one of the true gems of the Rocky Mountains, providing a unique and pure skiing or snowboarding experience. The mountain also comprises some more gentle and comfortable cruising terrian on Mt Haig which is popular for intermediates and families who enjoy this resort.  The International Academy programme is set to target those looking for a more secluded resort with additional focus on the skiing and snowboarding experience. You should be a strong skier or snowboarder (competent on red and black runs) to undertake this course due to the nature of the mountain terrain.

Sun Peaks Resort offers vast terrian spread over 3 mountains with superior snow conditions and a ski through village with plenty of resort amenities. The resort has been compared to Whistler Blackcomb and is ranked among the best in Canada. Many of the world's best skiers train at this resort including the Austrian National Ski Team. It is also home of Nancy Greene Raine, a Canadian Olympic Gold Medallist.  The resort also features excellent ski-in ski-out accommodations so you will stay right at the base of the mountains and close to the ski lifts, shops, bars and restaurants.
