Gapwork Gap Year Jobs Tips: Don't Miss Calgary
Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta, Canada with a population of over 950,000. The city is big enough to provide job opportunities in lots of different industries but the big tourist attraction is the Calgary Stampede. The Stampede is a cowboy and western celebration held in July and the whole of Calgary goes cowboy crazy - it's a sight to behold and we recommend you don't miss it! Plus the added bonus is the stampede needs lots and lots of staff, so you will probably find work in Calgary in July! The other thing that Calgary is famous for is that it hosted the Winter Olympics in 1988 (you may not be old enough to remember "Eddie the Eagle Edwards" but we are!) and the Olympic Park is well worth a look - and employs temporary staff all year round.
