Europe
Europe is obviously a massive continent, with a hugely diverse range of working holiday options for gap year and seasonal travellers. Do you want to travel across Europe finding work randomly as you go? Or do you want to maybe combine working and travelling with studying a language or doing a course? Are you interested in working in the UK on a working holiday visa, or are you from another EU country and want to travel around working wherever you please? It is difficult to narrow down your options for working in Europe, but this section will help you to plan your trip and your job options, whether you want to get a ski job or work in a language school teaching English as part of a TEFL course.

Use this website to help you plan your working holiday in European destinations. You can either get help by using our Jobs section or checking out the volunteering placements available. They obviously won’t pay you for your time, but it can be a great way to get work experience, make contacts and help others.
Alternatively you could try studying in a European destination, including language courses, which can really add to your CV. If English is your first language, you could also get a qualification to teach English as a foreign language in another country (TEFL). This is a very popular way to work and travel your way around many European countries. Au pairing is a great way to experience other cultures, learn a language and care for children while you are on your gap year. You don’t earn a huge amount of money but that’s not the point. Don’t forget that if you don’t want or need to work while you are away, there are loads of brilliant tour companies and other organisations who can help you to make the most of your year out or time away.
