Top Things To Do in Miami

1. People Watch

Spend far too long for your own good doing some people watching - if you're lucky you'll find international celebrities, literati and glitterati, musicians and more. If you are people watching with friends why not play a game and bet on the type of person you see next!

2. Go Surfing

Go surfing at South Pointe Park, South Beach. The water is clear and warm and there is no better place to surf or learn to surf than here. Failing that why not just sit on the beach and pretend you know how to! This beach is also a great place for fishing and has many restaurants located around it, so is an ideal spot to waste a day.

3. See some Art Deco

Absorb a bit of Art Deco in Miami's (wait for it) Art Deco District - 800 buildings in the distinctive architectural style of the 1930s. And if you're REALLY interested, there's the Art Deco Welcome Center (1001 Ocean Drive - 305 672 2014) for info and tours.

4. Go to the Cuban Memorial Boulevard

Cuban Memorial Boulevard, in the heart of Little Havana, is lined with monuments commemorating the heroes that fought for Cuban independence. You can see the eternal flame that burns in memory of the 94 Cuban exiles who gave their lives in the foiled 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion. And don't forget about Miami Art Museum in the Metro-Dade Cultural Center. It has changing exhibitions from around the world and is building a permanent collection.
