Help fund your gap year trip abroad by working with Wesser

Gap year specialist company Wesser are unique in the gap year market. Not only do Wesser offer a fantastic choice of over 300 gap year projects in over 30 countries, they will also help you to pay for your gap year travels and experiences too. By offering you the chance to fundraise for them in the UK for a few weeks, Wesser will then be able to pay a significant amount towards your own gap trip enabling you to achieve your dream adventure abroad.

Many potential gap year travellers work in the UK to earn enough money to fund their gap travels, mostly doing bar work, or working long hours into the evening washing up in restaurants. Wesser, on the other hand, in partnership with the charity, the St John’s Ambulance, can give you the opportunity to fill a work experience gap in your CV, learn a new skill, and have fun at the same time as helping a very worthy cause.
For every £10 that you can raise for the St John’s Ambulance good causes, Wesser will contribute £1 towards your own travel trip abroad, on top of your earnings. Working on a self-employed basis, you can either work with one of the Wesser campaign teams while living in a high standard of dedicated accommodation, or work on your own, campaigning door-to-door directly to members of the public. The work can be physically and mentally challenging, and you’ll be provided with training, an identity badge, uniform and support throughout your working time.

Once you have worked for a minimum of six weeks fundraising for Wesser, you can then start thinking about which of the amazing gap year adventures you’d like to choose for your travels abroad. Take a look at the testimonials from former Wesser campaigners and get some ideas from the partners’ websites on which top destination you’d like to visit, and what you’d like to do! Wesser gap year experiences range from 2 weeks to 6 months and offer a variety of gap year activities from scuba diving and community education in the Bahamas to paid work in Australia.
