Consider prepaid credit cards to take abroad

Sunday 10th July 2011

Raleigh reported recently that gap year travellers looking at various finance options for their trip may find prepaid credit cards better than travellers’ cheques, a finance expert has said.

Managing director at Global Prepaid Exchange Kevin Harrington said prepaid cards would be more convenient as if the card is lost or stolen, it can be stopped immediately and a replacement issued straight away.

Raleigh is a youth and education charity. Since 1984 we have inspired over 30,000 people from all walks of life, nationalities and ages to get out there and rise to the challenges of life on expedition.
