Use Your Teaching Skills This Summer for a Gap Break

Tuesday 6th April 2010

MondoChallenge are looking for trained teachers to work in India, Nepal or Tanzania

Are you a trained teacher and looking to do something adventurous and worthwhile during your summer holiday?

For 3 weeks this summer from the beginning of August you can help both children and teachers in India, Nepal or Tanzania on a specialised programme with MondoChallenge, experts in career breaks and holidays with a difference.

This programme involves going into schools and mentoring teachers to improve their teaching techniques, helping the children to engage with their lessons and improve their overall learning. You can also help in lessons, implementing your ideas and sharing any specific skills you have.

The projects are based in and around Arusha in Tanzania, which offers you weekends of trekking and safari to the Serengeti. In India, the cities of Kolkata and Bangalore offer a cosmopolitan experience, where you can truly help the poorest children of society. Your weekends are free to explore the local area, giving you time to relax but also pass on your skills to people who have not received such training as yourselves.

If you are not a qualified teacher, or if you have longer to give, MondoChallenge also run a variety of teaching placements in 9 different countries throughout the year,

If you would like more information please visit the MondoChallenge website.
