Group Departures: You go out to Canada as part of a group which makes the experience more supportive, friendly and pleasurable.

Informal interview and Briefing: An informative and relaxed two hour interactive session where you will find out about your destination and they will assess your suitability.

UK briefing day: A chance to meet with your group and find out more about Canada and your placement. The day is informative and very sociable. If applying for hotel work this will take place in a hotel with consultation from hotel management.

A Fantastic Job: Due to their connections Oyster can find and offer you jobs that other UK residents would struggle to find:

• The Whistler Kids option working indoors and outdoors in an exciting Crèche. It is an entertaining and rewarding job.
• The hotel work in Banff is challenging and rewarding combined with great skiing opportunities.
• The Work in Tremblant, in a professional hotel allows you the unique experience to have fun and learn French whilst working and earning money.

Help and advice from their UK office: Their small team will support you before departure and whilst in Canada. Work permit documentation and liaison with Canadian High commission.

Flights: On a scheduled flight (British Airways) with flexible return dates. Arrangement of transportation to your placement.

Assistance and support from their representative: Oyster employ young, friendly and lively representatives that will live near by. They are their to support you on your placement including organising social ‘meet ups’ French course suitable for any level for those going to Tremblant.

Teaching placements

With Oyster you could teach English in Chilean Patagonia, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia in Africa and Nepal in the heart of the Kathmandu Valley. They have been sending people on teaching placements for over six years. Tanzania is their most popular destination for teaching English with over 20 people being chosen every year. Their service provides you with;

2 day UK briefing course: A chance to meet with your group and find out more about your chosen country and your placement. The course is designed to be informative and very sociable. It covers important information including Health and Safety tips and gives you a vital introduction to teaching.

A Fantastic experience: Due to their connections Oyster can find schools that really do need your help and where you can make the best impact and get the most out of the experience. The fact that you can speak English is your best asset.

It’s not all about the teaching: In all of Oyster’s teaching placements, there is the opportunity to experience what the country has to offer. For example in Nepal a 10 day Trek, 10 day tour of Tibet, Chitwan safari and rafting trip are all included. In the African placements Safaris in the best places in the world can be organised cheaply and in Zambia and Kenya are included.

You are not a tourist: You will be living and working as a local. This is not just a two week holiday where you can barely scratch the surface of the country. In all of Oyster’s placements you will be fully immersed in the culture and truly under the skin of the country.
