Try white water rafting on your gap year
By Web Editor
White water rafting is a popular option for gap year travellers who are looking for adventure. You can go white water rafting all around the world - from the USA to Australia and New Zealand. You can white water raft down the Grand Canyon in America, the Ottawa River in Canada, the Nile or Zambezi River in Africa or Chile’s Futaleufu River. The great thing about white water rafting though, apart from the huge rush of adrenalin of course, is that rafters will get to see sights and places not available to the normal traveller - well worth the money and effort in our humble opinion!
Costs can vary but there are lots of websites offering rafting trips all around the world, for example, a white water rafting trip in Australia will set you back around $185. Money well spent if you are after an experience you'll remember long after your gap year or summer holiday has finished.
There are minimum age limits as to who can white water rafting, but generally are no upper age limits for white water rafters.
